Long ago, the Rosalian Empire consumed the skies.

The Empire, declaring the Magna Azure Ordo, subjugated countless islands under their ironclad rule. Their tyranny would not stop at the wilderness or the kingdoms, but the deific sovereigns of nature — the Eikons. The Immortal Empress, feared by many as the Iron Maiden, had even set her mad ambitions towards the sun, the twin moons, and the abyss beneath the islands. Nothing, and no one, could stop her.

And at the apex of their conquest, He appeared. The Warrior of Light. A nameless knight who was without equal, without past, and without mercy. By his blade, he battled the Iron Maiden for days upon days. On the last day of their battle, the Iron Maiden was slain. In her cruelty and madness, the Iron Maiden unleashed a terrible spell that shook the very skies: Indignation. A sky-piercing bolt which mortally wounded the Warrior of Light … and sent the Empire’s capital of Rosalia falling beneath the Understorm.

Following the battle’s end, the Warrior of Light was never seen again.

With her demise, the Empire’s remnants collapsed within months. And with it, so too came the aftermath. The storm. The Fury, it would be known as. A merciless war of punishment wrought by nature itself. Monsterkind buried the Empire’s colonies under blood and dirt. The Empress’ secrets were sealed away by ancient guardians. Eikons, once imprisoned, took to the skies and the islands once more.

… But, as is the way of life, the world eventually healed. The Fury would cease.

The Age of Flowers

A thousand years have passed. Mortalkind has lived on and prospered. The world now exists in an age where the heroes have faded, the memories are as embers, and the scars of imperialism have healed.

It is the Age of Flowers. A time of healing and discovery. The Empire’s remnants are long buried within the verdant islands. And while the advancements of MAG-Tech have revolutionized several cultures, civilization is sparse and the people are scattered amongst their many communities, kingdoms, and nomadic arkships. The world remains an untamed jewel of azure and green, deep in its natural riches, but home to many perils. From pirates to monsters, the skies are eternally chaotic.

In this age, there is but one group more famous than any in the skies: The Hunter’s Guild.

The Hunter’s Guild

Said to be the greatest band of adventurers, explorers, and loremasters across the world. Hunters travel through the skies, discovering new and forgotten lands, fulfilling Quests across the world, and forging bonds for the sake of prosperity. Hunters are both hero and nomad.

And many are united by a myth. A tale which dates back to the Iron Maiden.

Before his death, the Warrior of Light returned to his homeland: Elpis.
An island without want or strife. A garden without end. A beauty without parallel.
There, the Warrior of Light's greatest treasure awaits.

It is said to grant any wish, any desire, to one it deems worthy.

The Last Breath.

No matter their reason or their worthiness, many hunters chase this dream. And other factions, guided by their own ambitions, search for the paradisical lands of Elpis.
